Julian Castro is wrong when it comes to his PRO-Illegal Immigrant stance.
Illegal Immigrants DO NOT WANT to be citizens.
What they want is the American dollar.
Democrats want Illegal Immigrants for two reasons and they are quite simple to understand.
First, they want the Hispanic vote.
Second, they want to be able to use illegal Immigrants for cheap labor.
That’s it.
Julian Castro was at NYU on May 4, 2011, and participated in a debate on Illegal Immigration.
Mayor Castro took a PRO-Illegal Immigration stance claiming the long-term benefits towards labor.
In other words, cheap labor.
How can you support a man that wants to provide an avenue for U.S. employers to have access to cheap labor?
If an employer can hire someone for $8.00 an hour, as opposed to the standard pay-rate of $12.00 an hour, who do you think the employer will hire?
Second, how long do you think it will take the standard pay-rate to go down across the board for all employees in that particular field?
Illegal Immigrants affect wages.
Castro said that, “Deporting 11 million illegal immigrants is just not feasible,” he continued, “We should punish those who [came here illegally] and give them a chance at the back of the line.”
The fact is that illegal immigrants should not have to be deported.
If you do not give them access to what they want, jobs, then they will go home on their own.
In other words, stop making the excuse that it is hard to hold employers accountable.
Enforce the law that says if an employer employs an illegal immigrant, they will get fined thousands of dollars.
As far as giving them a chance by having them get in the ‘back of the line’, well, there is ‘no line’.
What about those folks that have been trying to become American Citizens by doing it the right way and have been waiting for years?
Why should they have to be pushed further back in the bureaucracy because someone else decided to break the law?
No Mr. Castro.
Illegal Immigrants do not have a long-term benefit for America nor for themselves.
You sir are the Mayor of San Antonio, an American city.
Please, do your job and look out for the American Citizens that live in San Antonio, Texas.
