Let the Children Play Violent Video Games

by RiverCityBlogger on June 29, 2011

The Supreme Court in California refused to ban the sale of violent video games to children
and I believe that the court made the right decision.

Read the story here.

The responsibility as to what your child buys or does not buy is the responsibility
of the parents and the family.

Governments MUST NOT hold power to regulate what your children play or not play
on their PlayStation, or anything else for that matter.

YOU, as the parent and guardian, decide what your children consume.

Many parents are under the false assumption that ‘if there is a law preventing my child from doing something, then I, as the parent, do not have to concern myself with my child.’

Look, parenting is difficult and we do not have all the answers, however, because you are a parent, you have God-Given instincts to know what is right and what is wrong for your child.

Once you put a wedge between the sacred relationship between the parent and the child, the future of your child is no longer in your power.

Besides, teaching your children and instilling in them integrity, and the power to think for themselves, will have them making the right decision when they are not in your presence.
